Manage Marketing

Featured Vendors (January-March) - 2023

In the past few years, the way channel marketers communicate with and influence end-users has changed drastically. Partner marketers are aware of the significance of a brand's online reputation. They have changed their marketing strategy to include new marketing techniques, ensuring that the right messages are delivered to the right consumers via the most suitable platforms.

It’s the vendors who need to adapt and adjust the way they advertise themselves via and with their partners in order to thrive. The era of "build it and they will come" is long gone. Partners are no longer interested in using vendor events or campaigns-in-a-box. Some vendors even attempt to recruit partners for pre-packaged tweets and blog platforms, but the partners are uninterested because they are too generic.

The problem for the vendors is that they all provide same type of assistance. Partners have grown tired of pre-packaged marketing plans and will no longer utilize the developed content. In order to deliver actual assets that partners would use in the current market, vendors must rethink their marketing offerings for partner communities and comprehend the modifications they need to do.

Today's partners require customized marketing materials and content from their vendors for use in more contemporary and digital marketing activities, such as targeted EDMs and social media advertising to reach specific groups of prospects. Similarly, partners must continue to encourage vendors to generate new materials and attempt to repurpose existing content. "Thought leadership" is another area gaining popularity in channel marketing to boost sales utilizing modern marketing strategies.

Consequently, it is ultimately up to the individual partner to differentiate their brand from that of a similar partner backed by a worldwide vendor. However, the smartest vendors are those who collaborate with their partners to jointly define go-to-market plans based on the sharing of their market knowledge and skills.
